Music

Postby margaret » Fri Aug 07, 2009 9:22 pm

I really enjoy the music at the end of each topic. It is very soothing and quite lovely. There have been times when i just sit there listening to it while relaxing after doing the work of holding particular emotions during the tones.

Seems to me you all have covered all the bases here. Thanks.

Thank you Margaret, it is a lovely and atmospheric piece of music, isn't it?

I came across it quite by accident and as soon as I heard it, I knew it was the right piece for the end of session section. I too listen to it over and over again and find it it very soothing and relaxing.

Anybody else have any opinions on the music or other aspects of the way the course has been put together?

Martin,

Where is the music? I might have to put my volum up a bit. I only hear the thrilling
tones or Kurt's talk.

Thanks,

In listening to several of the modules, while the transformative tones played, I heard a different type of music. One way I can describe what I heard is to name it a "call to glory".

If you remember the movie "Patton". There is a scene where he and another military leader are looking out over a field after a terrible tank battle. Wounded, dead and smoldering equipment are everywhere. Patton begins to tell of the history of this battle field, and as a believer in reincarnation, he tells his companion that he was there in those times. In the background and seemingly very far away, you can hear a single bugler play a call. That type of bugle call is what I heard, very faintly.

I am curious if anyone else has heard this. I heard it in at least five of the modules.

Hi The Observer

The very last track of each topic is the music section. It does kick in after a few seconds pause. It was originally intended just to be an atmospheric piece of music for those that left their players running at the end of a session. Often the session leaves you feeling relaxed and just an abrupt silence was not ideal, so we added the little piece that nearly everyone is finding so interesting.

It is my belief that they are in fact Chilean mountain pipes.

Veronica Hi

I have not heard the music you refer to and it has not intentionally been added to my knowledge.

Anybody else hear any music? Now I'm intrigued as well as puzzled! :?

Margaret, you are so right! It is SO soothing! It feels like home to me. What I mean is, When I first sit down to do a module, I feel excited, a little nervous, somewhat physically and emotionally uncomfortable, and then I do the work. When the music comes on, especially if I've cried a lot during the exercise, I feel so present, but as though I'm visiting a very clear, clean, strong place that feels like the place I came from.

Hi january!

That was exactly the reason why we used a musical piece in that position of the presentation but we could not have hoped for a better reaction than yours!
